Legal Strategies for Preventing Control of Cybercrime against Girls
At an event on ‘Cybercrimes Against Women’ organized by the Vision Foundation with the support of the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) in New Delhi, the increase in cybercrimes against women in recent years was discussed. It was noted that 710 million people in India use the internet, of whom 250 million are women. It was also mentioned that 80% of people are vulnerable to cybercrimes, and 63% of them do not know where to report such crimes. The event presented solutions, some measures for cybersecurity, recommendations for the public, and legal strategies to prevent and control cybercrimes against girls.
Family Counseling & Free Legal Aid to rural poor people
Counseling and legal assistance are being provided as usual. This is helpful to the affected women in various ways. Our team has resolved cases related to dowry, separation, land rights, debt repayment, marital problems, and domestic violence. This program is implemented with the support of the Usilampatti Taluk Legal Services Committee and the Madurai District Legal Services Authority. Women in this region often face many problems due to early marriage. To help resolve the problems of such women, this organization operates a 24-hour counseling center.
