Established a women's recreation centre & library
The Vision Foundation has established a women’s recreation center and a small library for the empowerment of women. Accordingly, recreational equipment such as carrom boards, chess boards, snakes and ladders game boards, and pallanguzhi boards have been provided, along with books on women’s rights, life skills, and entrepreneurship. Approximately 100 women benefit from using this recreation center and library daily. It continues to operate with the support and valuable financial assistance of the Tamil Nadu State Social Welfare Board, Chennai. This helps women to rejuvenate themselves mentally and physically.
Awareness on gender, governance sustainable development of women
With the support of the Madurai EKTA organization, efforts are being made to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls. The role of women in sustainable development is multifaceted, and their voices must be included at every level. Awareness is being created among women that gender equality is not only a fundamental human right but also an essential foundation for a peaceful, prosperous, and sustainable world.
Awareness on getting help for women victims of domestic violence
It aims to create communities that fight against all forms of violence. We conduct awareness programs addressing domestic violence and interpersonal violence. We believe that volunteers and organizations have a significant role to play in building trust and bringing about change. In this, we raise awareness about domestic violence and gender-based violence and the support services available at International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), Chennai.
Promotion of the Women Entrepreneurs
Our organization, in collaboration with the Madurai Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and the Usilampatti PKM Youth Development Charitable Trust, is conducting a workshop to promote women entrepreneurs and enhance women’s empowerment. This workshop provides guidance on professional skills training, marketing strategies, current business trends, state and central government subsidies, and bank loans for women entrepreneurs. Therefore, all strategies for encouraging women entrepreneurs are provided in this program. Local bank officials and executives from financial institutions in Usilampatti will actively participate and provide loan-related advice to the participants.
